Extended Range Folding Antenna for Garmin Astro
When you need a little more range, but the convenience of a fold-down.
This one is Garmin-tested!
This antenna folds tightly around the Garmin Astro 220 for a low profile and easily fits into a pocket. When you need extra range, just unfold and extend the antenna. Works with the DC-20, DC-30, or DC-40 collars.
When extended, this antenna will out-perform the standard rubber Garmin antenna. Actual range varies depending on terrain and conditions. For even longer range, consider the Garmin Portable Long Range Antenna or the Garmin Magnetic Mount Antenna.
Tested by Garmin engineers!! This antenna extends range beyond the standard rubber antenna that comes with the Astro.

Some comments from people who have tested the Extended Range antenna...
"... the antenna covers 30% more range than the stock rubber antenna. I like the way it folds down for compact storage...when I hunt I carry my Astro 220 in my front pocket for easy access. I stand side by side hunting w/ my brother, both of us tracking 6 dogs in THICK dense cover."
"It should add at least 25% and in many cases much more. Some people have said it doubles their range, but all systems are different and the position of the satellites will have a bearing on your results." |

Garmin Astro GPS Handheld Long Range Antenna
Garmin developed this portable handheld long range antenna especially for the Garmin Astro GPS Dog Tracking system and it's designed to increase the range of the hunter's handheld 220 receiver. When a dog travels out of range, the long range antenna can be lengthened to 3 feet and attached directly to the Astro 220 via a 3 foot coaxial cable.
This new handheld long range antenna is perfect for the big running bird dogs and hounds. Plus it gets better range even when closed than the standard antenna. When you need more range, all you do is extend the antenna out to a maximum of 3 feet.
The handheld long range antenna features a molded handle and lanyard; and only measures a 1/4 meter long when stored so it can be easily carried in a hunting vest.
